AEK Athens
Head Coach
ALEXANDRIS, VANGELIS
"We showed some signs of improvement tonight, for we were competitive
throughout the game. However, the fact that we missed way too many free
throws and Nancy dominated the offensive boards did not allow us to
grab the win. The only thing we can do is to keep working as hard as we
can."

Forward
NIKOLAIDIS, PRODROMOS
"We shouldn’t have attempted so many three-pointers. Unfortunately,
it’s not the first time that we played good basketball only for 20
minutes and once again we were punished for our inconsistency. It was
our last home game of the year, so we wanted to win the game and get
off to a new start. We failed to do so and now we have to focus on how
to maintain our effort and perform as good as we expect and desire for
40 minutes."

Head Coach
MONSCHAU, JEAN-LUC
"Maybe we wanted to win a little bit more than AEK tonight in order to
keep our chances of finishing in second place intact. We had the
motivation, but it wasn’t a walk in the park for us since AEK played
great in the first half. They hit a lot of three-pointers and scored
many points in transition, so it was difficult to keep up with them. In
the second half though, we played better defense, something that
allowed us to rally back and win the game."

Guard
MILISAVLJEVIC, BRANKO
"Greece is a special place for me and I am always looking forward to
come here. It was an important game for us because we wanted to stay in
second place. It was an open, uptempo game and we let them find some
rhythm offensively in the first half and hit some easy triples.
However, as we all know, the game finishes after 40 minutes of play so
we came out in the second half determined to pick up our defensive
intensity. We did a good job of containing their shooters, while on the
other end we managed to open the court and finish the fast break. We
found the balance between offence and defence and honestly I think that
we were the better team tonight, we deserved to win."
